Abstract

The antimicrobial activity of crude methanolic extracts of Neptunia prostrate along with phytochemical screening was tested against two gram positive bacteria: Bacillus pertusis and Staphylococcus aureus; two gram negative bacteria: Escherichia coli and Vibrio cholarae and one strain of fungus, Candida albicans by  using the paper disc agar diffusion method. The results showed activity against all bacterial pathogens, by recording zone of inhibition.
